New Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Graphic symbol to be Revealed at The Game Awards

Today Nintendo confirmed that the side by side grapheme for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will be revealed at The Game Awards.

This will not be the showtime time a Smash character reveal has happened at The Game Awards, as the 2018 outcome revealed Joker from Persona 5. The 2019 TGAs did not have a Smash reveal to the disappointment of many, so it is adept to take confirmation on the matter. Unlike the 2018 Joker reveal which was a complete surprise, this is the offset time Nintendo has confirmed a major Smash reveal for the TGAs.

Similar to other amusement events like the Oscars and the Emmy, The Game Awards is the premier award testify for all things relating to video games. I feel similar this could be ane of three things:

a) Geoff Keighley (the host/exec. producer) is "subtly" hinting at who the next grapheme will be

b) he'south messing with people

c) he has no idea who it is (I experience like people would exist kept in the dark on this unless it'southward admittedly necessary), and he's simply proverb who he thinks it volition exist

I'm guessing it's going to be either Crash Bandicoot, Dante, or Doomguy - it's hard to be sure (it's non like nosotros have a pattern of Game Awards reveals to go on), but I figure that whoever the character is, they'll be from a game that was a huge hit either this twelvemonth or last year.

Well, all character announcements come with salt evidently, merely at least they avoided both an announcement out of nowhere (for people like me who missed the initial Joker reveal) and, uh, people not really knowing what's gonna happen with the risk of nothing happening (Remember last time? Not a pretty sight).

As for who information technology is... uh at this betoken I don't actually intendance who it is. I already got nigh of who I want in the game. Given it's in the Game Awards though, it might exist someone popular (AKA, not a niche pick or some other Atomic number 26 rep, lol). We'll see, I guess.

I suppose it begrudgingly gives me a reason to melody in, or at least go along an centre open equally reveals flood in. I was just telling my brother yesterday that I've been burned plenty times with reveal events that I was content to just not pay attention to the game awards equally I have better things to do. Chances are good I'll be online as things drib anyway and I know gaming news sites and channels like IGN effort their darndest to upload trailers and reveals literal seconds after they're announced, then odds are I'll see the reveals more or less in real time anyhow equally trailers get uploaded while I'm doing something else.

Here's hoping there'south at least one other thing to go excited for in the game awards. Smash is keen but I'd exist pleasantly surprised to encounter something else I'm interested in, Nintendo or otherwise.

Yes. Literally, no matter who it is, people will be salty. "Nintendo again insulting the (Grapheme hither) fanbase and giving u.s. a slap in the confront!" lol. I'd love to see another Nintendo character, and/or an existing franchise become some other rep. But considering the last few characters, information technology seems more probable we'll be getting another grapheme from a newer game, and I'g guessing 3rd political party. But I've already got what I desire and so I'll be happy no matter who it is.

tbh part of me wants it to be a Fe character just so I can sentinel the ****ing nuclear meltdown the Boom customs will have because of it

Could be anyone really. Never really bothered with trying to predict who's gonna be the next DLC character myself when there'due south literally thousands of characters for the devs to pick from, and never whatever real evidence pointing to who's the near probable candidates.

outside of my own potential dream picks, which I've long since accepted that they're pipe dreams, I REALLY don't care who they pick for side by side DLC anymore...it's not considering I don't similar the game, information technology's just a long time of disappointment and Nintendo'due south going out of their way to screw the competitive Smash community (and Splatoon by extension for supporting u.s.) from adapting to current times.

they've long since lost my trust, and a possible new DLC fighter isn't enough to really win me back... hell, even one of my dream picks making it might not be plenty... Ultimate (preferrably Nintendo Online in general, but that'southward aiming too loftier) volition need to exist promised rollback netcode in the nearly future and Slippi given official endorsement and/or Peradventure a potential bargain to be struck with the creators before I volition have promise for the visitor again... simply nosotros all know how that route ends.
